Frequently asked questions

My voucher is about to expire, but you don’t have an opening before then. Please advise.

You invested in the services, and the ability to use your voucher in a timely manner is of great interest to the massage therapy practice. I encourage clients to reach out to me if finding an opening in the schedule is proving to be difficult at any time. Being that the availability/schedule are accessible from the time of purchase to the end of the 6 months that the voucher is valid, the voucher will not normally be accepted past the expiration date. However, if someone wishes to book within a day or two past the expiration, that would be reasonable. If someone had extremely unusual circumstances that inhibited them from using the voucher, please explain, and I will do my best to accommodate them. Therefore, here are the options: I’ll be happy to place someone on the waiting list, and contact them should a particular time become available. The paid value for the voucher never expires (41$), and you may use it to pay towards the full price of an appointment. You may purchase an extension through Groupon (or Living Social). Note: Recently, Groupon has been extending vouchers as a free provision for clients.

A client can receive a massage at essentially any age. Though, if they are under 18 years of age, I request a Parental Consent form to be completed.

What is your studio like?

I operate out of a standard massage studio, which is 12 feet long x 10 feet wide, 130 square feet. There is one massage table. The ambience is designed to be relaxing while allowing therapeutic bodywork as the session deems it necessary. If there is anything I can provide to make your experience more enjoyable, please let me know.

Is draping required?

Draping is required as stated here in the North Carolina State Board of Massage Rules and Regulations: .0506 DRAPING REQUIREMENTS Licensees shall adhere to the following requirements, except in the case of treatments where the client remains fully clothed: (1) provide draping in a manner that ensures the safety, comfort and privacy of the client; (2) maintain a supply of clean drapes, such as towels, sheets, gowns or other coverings, for the purpose of draping the client's body during treatment; (3) explain expected draping procedures to the client before treatment; and (4) ensure that the following areas are draped during treatment: the gluteal and genital areas for male and female clients, and the breast area for female clients. With voluntary and informed consent of the client, the gluteal and breast drapes may be temporarily moved in order to perform therapeutic treatment to structures in those areas. Please continue to communicate with me throughout the session so that I may adjust the temperature or draping to have a more comfortable experience. I will always endeavor to accommodate those who are hot natured or cold natured.
