Dynamic Myofascial Manipulation and Joint Facilitation (DMMJF)

Developed by Zachary Graney

DMMJF is an advanced, integrated therapeutic approach that uniquely combines continuous, active limb movement with precise, real-time manual pressure.

Its power lies in the therapist's ability to "read the body well" by dynamically palpating for "gaps in function" – areas of restricted glide, inefficient muscle contraction, fascial binding, or limited joint play – as the body moves through its natural range.

Unlike static techniques, DMMJF is a continuously adaptive intervention. Pressure and movement vectors are instantly modified based on tactile feedback, client response (including positive signs like pain-free cavitation), and observed changes in joint mobility and tissue pliability.

Drawing from principles of The Janda Approach (identifying tonic/phasic muscle imbalances) and Zink's Common Compensatory Pattern (recognizing predictable global fascial/joint rotations), DMMJF targets the root causes of movement dysfunction, rather than just symptoms.

The primary objective is to facilitate immediate, pain-free improvements in:

  • Dynamic Tissue Pliability: Enhancing the ability of muscles and fascia to lengthen, shorten, and glide efficiently.

  • Tendon & Ligamentous Glide: Restoring smooth movement within connective tissues, reducing friction and restrictions.

  • Joint Play & Range of Motion (ROM): Unlocking restrictions within joint capsules and restoring optimal articular movement.

  • Neuromuscular Control: Re-educating the nervous system for improved muscle activation and coordinated movement patterns.

The result is a more resilient, adaptable, and high-performing body, reducing pain, preventing injury, and optimizing athletic and daily life function.
